The Creative Kids After School Art Club is a four week after school art program for kids 6-12 years old. The Club encourages creativity, elevates confidence, and enhances artistic learning. Kids will also make new friends and have fun while learning new creative skills.
In this after school session, we will focus on fun, introductory and creative concepts of painting. Kids will learn some of the fundamentals of artistic development explore acrylic paint and water colours and have fun exploring texture to bring dimension to their artwork.
The After School Creative Art Club has sessions on Wednesdays. Sessions begin at 4:00 pm and run until 5:15 pm. All of our Creative Kids will receive a sketch book and pencils for their session. They will also get a Creative Kids’ Art Club T-shirt at the end of the program!

Week One: Watercolour Silhouettes & Cityscapes
In this session, kids will create unique watercolour silhouette cityscape paintings using vibrant colours. Kids will learn about contrasting colours and horizon lines used in art.
Week Two: Creating Fluid Abstract Art With Paint Pouring
Kids will learn how to create abstract art by pouring fluid paints onto wooden panels. In this session, kids will be encouraged to explore elements of colour theory.
Week Three: Marbling with Patterns & Shapes
Kids will learn about the science of art marbling using shaving cream, chalk and dyes while creating abstract art pieces. They will also incorporate stamped patterns and silhouettes onto their artwork.
Week Four: Exploring Texture & Dimension
Kids will use paper mache strips to create three dimensional artwork and explore texture and colour.
