Spring Flowers – Chalk Pastel Virtual Workshop – An Evening of Art

Join us for a chalk pastel drawing night with a creative spin! In this session we will have an opportunity to draw a field of wild Spring flowers. We will learn various drawing techniques using a colourful selection of chalk pastels. We will also enjoy a fun & relaxing  session together.

You will be guided step-by-step to create your version of the featured image. Don’t worry, there is no experience necessary!

Art Workshop Cost:

$20 – Instruction Only

$35+HST – Instruction + Chalk Pastel Art Kit

In this art workshop we will be using chalk pastels on pastel paper to create our artwork.

You will need:

• A set of chalk pastels including the colours of light blue, dark blue, yellow, white, black, light green. dark green , red
• 8×10 or 9×12 pastel paper
• A masonite/hardboard
• One medium & one small blending stick
• Paper towel
• A printed colour copy of the image
• A smock
• A copy of the reference image
• A table cover

What we will learn while painting this image:

• We will be learning how to blend & soften colours
• We will learn about composition
• How to sharpen and soften an image
• Texture & mark making with chalk pastels
• And most importantly having fun & relaxing while we create!
