Inspired by Stories – An Interactive Art Workshop

You are a storyteller. Your voice has power both in words and in images. You have something to say. Your story holds joy, tears and truth. Come and share your story or the story of a friend, family member and bring it to life on canvas with vibrant visual art.

Join us for the Inspired by Stories Interactive Workshop – an evening of story sharing and creative visual art.

Artwork will be created on 16×20 canvases using acrylic paints and various mixed media. Participants can feel free to bring objects that they would like to incorporate into their visual stories and also incorporate text into their visual stories.

In this fun and interactive workshop you will have a chance to share your story or the story of someone else that you find meaningful. We will discuss character, mood, emotion and atmosphere and illustrate your thoughts visually on canvas by making connections with colour and form.

The process will be focused on developing oral stories and then discussing which elements of the story we can bring to life visually.
